Meet Gilly...
BSc (Hons) MRC Pod
I am the owner and lead podiatrist at Nene Podiatry, I graduated with a first class Bachelor of Science honours degree from The University of Huddersfield. The inspiration to become a podiatrist in my 30’s came from a close family member, I became intrigued after watching on closely. Previous to this I have always worked within the agricultural industry so it was a change of direction for me, however it worked out to be a positive choice and I’m so happy I made the decision to be become a podiatrist.
I absolutely love the work I do. It is very rewarding, there is a sense of achievement in resolving patients problems and helping to keep them pain free. Also a bit part of what I do is about educating patients and this also has its own rewards as I know I’ve helped to prevent further problems too.
I love the outdoors and enjoy walking, running and open water swimming. It is most enjoyable hearing about other peoples activities and very interesting meeting so many different people.
